Frozen.

I'm taking Theater 100 for my fine arts credit; and as a part of that class we have to see 4 of the theater productions done this semester. Sunday afternoon I saw Frozen with my boyfriend (he came up for the weekend). and I was really disappointed in the story line. The acting was phenomenal, and even kinda scary how good it was because it was about a serial killer. The play was mostly a bunch of monologues put together rather than having interactions between the characters. Most of the time I just felt like the actors were speaking to the audience rather than between themselves. So all in all, I was kinda disappointed that the one play I brought my boyfriend with me was kind of a let down; because the other 3 plays I saw this semester were really good (Angels in America, Almost Maine, and Company).

Hope everyone had a good weekend! :)

  1. It sounds like it would have been a really good play! It sucks that it wasn't as good as you thought it'd be, that's never any fun :/ I've always had such respect for actors, I feel like it'd be so hard to memorize all of the lines and be so serious...not to mention keep from laughing! Haha I feel like I'd laugh all the time

  2. I went and saw the color purple and it was just ok to me.. I'm pretty open about sitting through plays and such but it seemed to just drag on for way to long. I'm sorry that you were disappointed about the play.
